Penggunaan lahan di pesisir selatan Madura banyak yang tidak cocok dengan kesesuaian lahan, berdasarkan pada pemikiran tersebut perlu dilakukan analisa tipologi pantai agar menempatkan penggunaan lahan sesuai dengan kriteria kesesuaian lahannya. Lokasi penelitian ini mencakup 17 titik yakni Kecamatan Kamal, Labang, Kwanyar, Modung, Sreseh, Torjun, Sampang, Camplong, Tlanakan, Pademawu, Galis, Larangan, Pragaan, Bluto, Saronggi, Kalianget dan Gapura. Tujuan dari penelitian ini melakukan analisis tipologi pantai berdasarkan parameter fisik pantai dan menganalisa potensi pemanfaatan sumberdaya wilayah pesisir. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Penentuan tipologi pantai dengan mendapatkan data analisa visual yaitu proses genesa, relief, dan material penyusun utama, kemudian akan mengetahui klasifikasi tipologi pantainya. Penentuan tipologi pemanfaatan sumberdaya pesisir menggunakan metode analisis kesesuaian lahan pesisir dan metode skoring faktor pembatas. Kesesuaian lahan untuk penelitian ini adalah perikanan kategori tambak, pelabuhan, pemukiman, dan pertanian. Hasil analisa tipologi pantai didapatkan pesisir selatan Madura memiliki tipe pesisir pengendapan laut dan pesisir organik. Hasil kesesuaian lahan didapatkan bahwa pesisir selatan Madura cocok digunakan untuk pembangunan pelabuhan dan pemukiman.

The suitability of the land for this research is the fishing pond, Harbor categories, residential, and agriculture. Analysis of the results obtained by the South Coast Beach typology of Madura have type coastal deposition of sea and coastal organic. Land suitability results obtained that the southern coast of the island is suitable for the construction of the port and settlement.
