Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: mengetahui karakteristik pekerja sektor informal (Pekerja UMKM Manik-Manik), mengetahui karakeristik pekerjaan pekerja sektor informal (Pekerja UMKM Manik-Manik), mengetahui keputusan yang dibuat oleh pekerja sektor informal (Pekerja UMKM Manik-Manik) sehingga bertahan bekerja pada UMKM Manik-Manik, dan mengetahui keberlanjutan pekerja pada pekerjaan sektor informal (Pekerja UMKM manik-manik) pada UMKM Manik-Manik. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Data diperoleh dari hasil studi lapang berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pekerja berusia produktif, jenis kelamin yang bekerja terdapat laki-laki dan perempuan, pendidikan sebatas SD sampai dengan SMA, jumlah anggota keluarga yang menjadi tanggungan hanya keluarga inti, motivasi bekerja karena faktor ekonomi, faktor lingkungan, faktor keluarga, dan faktor aktualisasi diri, pengalaman belajar dari orang lain. Spesifikasi sifat pekerja terdapat mudah dan sulit bergantung pada pesanan, pola jam kerja yang tidak teratur, pendapatan pekerja berbeda antara laki-laki dan perempuan berdasarkan hasil borongan, sistem pengupahan 2 minggu dan ada yang satu bulan. Keputusan dibuat berdasarkan prinsip rasionalitas dan mempertimbangkan kondisi penentu keputusan dengan membandingkan sawah dan pabrik. Keberlanjutan pekerja menunjukkan bahwa berlanjut bekerja dengan membandingkan kondisi baik jika bekerja di sawah atau dipabrik. Serta pergeseran nilai uang yang sama saja pada zaman dulu dengan sekarang. Kata kunci: pekerja informal, karakteristik, keputusan, keberlanjutan

This study aimed to: know the characteristics of informal sector workers (Micro, Small, Medium scale business of Beads Workers), to know the characteristics of informal sector workers' job, to know the decisions made by informal workers (Micro, Small, Medium scale business of Beads Workers), at Micro, Small, Medium scale business of Beads Workers, and to know the sustainability of workers in informal sector work (Micro, Small, Medium scale business of Beads Workers), on Micro, Small, Medium scale business of Beads. The method used was descriptive qualitative. The data were obtained from the result of the field study in the form of interview, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicated that productive age of workers, sexes who work there are men and women, education limited to elementary school until high school, the number of family members who become dependent only the nuclear family, motivation to work due to economic factors, environmental factors, family factors, and self-actualization factors, learning experiences from others. The specifications of employee nature are easy and difficult depending on order, irregular work patterns, different employee income between men and women on the basis of yield, 2 weeks wage system and one month. Decision was made based on the principle of rationality and consider the conditions of decision making by comparing between working on fields and factories. Worker sustainability indicated that they continue to work by comparing good conditions if working in a rice field or in a factory.
