[ Anotasi Abstrak ]
Abstract This research is An Analysis of Politeness Strategies Used By Main Characters on Aura Movie. This study amis to describe the kinds of politeness strategies and the factors that influence to use politeness strategies used by main characters on Aura movie. The main theory used Brown,P. & S.Levinson (1987) theory to analyze the types and the factors of pollitness strategies. This rsearch was conducted using descriptive qualitative research design. The data were taken from main characters in Aura movie. The instrument of this study is the researcher himself. The data was collected by using content analysis method. The writer found out the kinds of politeness strategies and factors that influence main characters to use politeness strategies. The writer found 38 data. The 24 data are categorized as politeness strategies and 14 data belongs to factors that influence main characters to use politeness strategies. Key words : Politeness strategies, kinds of politeness strategies, factors, and Main Characters on Aura Movie.
