Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa sektor perekonomian di Kabupaten/Kota Provinsi Papua Barat yang menjadi sektor basis dan potensial, serta melihat peran dan kinerja sektor perekonomian di Papua Barat. Jenis penelitian bersifat kuantitatif yaitu mengambil data sekunder melalui Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kabupaten/Kota dan Provinsi Papua Barat dengan periode waktu lima tahun, sedangkan data yang digunakan adalah data PDRB 13 Kabupaten/Kota dan PDRB Provinsi Papua Barat tahun 2018-2022 menurut lapangan usaha berdasarkan harga konstan. Metode penelitian menggunakan 3 alat analisis, Analisis LQ, Shift Share, Tipologi Klassen. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa analisis LQ daerah dengan sektor basis terbanyak adalah Kabupaten Manokwari dan Kabupaten Fakfak, dengan jumlah sektor basis sebanyak 15 sektor. Sementara untuk Kabupaten/Kota dengan sektor basis paling sedikit adalah Kabupaten Sorong, dengan 1 sektor basis dan sektor Non Basis nya ada 16 sektor. Lalu hasil analisis Shift Share di Kabupaten/Kota menunjukkan bahwa Sektor Pertanian, Kehutanan dan Perikanan memiliki keunggulan kepetitif dengan jumlah paling banyak, yaitu 8 Kabupaten dan 1 Kota. Sektor yang unggulan didominasi oleh Kota Sorong, dengan 16 sektor unggulan. Sedangkan hasil Tipologi Klassen menunjukkan sektor primer (cepat maju dan cepat tumbuh) dengan jumlah daerah paling banyak adalah sektor Pertanian, Kehutanan dan Perikanan dengan jumlah 8 Kabupaten. Secara garis besar kondisi perekonomian Kabupaten/Kota menunjukkan peningkatan kinerja yang baik terhadap PDRB dan berkontribusi terhadap perekonomian Papua Barat. Under the guidance of Yufita Listiana, SE., MSi.rnrnThis study aims to analyze the economic sector in the Regency/City of West Papua Province which is the base and potential sector, well to see the role and performance of the economic sector in West Papua. The type of research is quantitative, namely taking secondary data through the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Regencies/Cities and West Papua Province with a period of five years, while the data used is data on the GDP of 13 Regencies/Cities and the GDP of West Papua Province in 2018-2022 according to business fields based on constant prices. The research method uses 3 analysis tools, LQ Analysis, Shift Share, and Klassen Typology.rnrnThe results of the study show that the analysis of LQ in the regions with the most base sectors is Manokwari Regency and Fakfak Regency, with a total of 15 base sectors. Meanwhile, for the Regency/City with the least base sector is Sorong Regency, with 1 base sector and 16 Non-Base sectors. Then the results of the Shift Share analysis in Regencies/Cities show that the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sector has a competitive advantage with the most numbers, namely 8 Regencies and 1 City. The leading sectors are dominated by Sorong City, with 16 leading sectors. Meanwhile, the results of the Klassen Typology show that the primary sector (fast advancing and fast growing) with the largest number of regions is the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries sector with a total of 8 districts.
